What’s up, Creative Bestie?
I’m Amy, a quilter + fabric designer who also really loves the art of business.
Behind-the scenes: salty snack enthusiast, Illustrator expert, and unserious woo-woo girlie who pets dogs but ignores their owners.
Shop-Your-Stash Quilt Patterns:
I wrote this pattern while reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle, and it ended up being a bestseller and the basis for a book club.
This is a quilt for people who want their scrap quilts to look complicated, but not be complicated.
What you're getting: Five distinct block types: half-square triangles, flying geese, quarter-square triangles, quarter log cabins, and glue-pressed orange peel appliqué, arranged in a scrappy, DIY maximalist layout. You literally can’t screw it up, and every quilt comes out different.
The specs:
Finished size: 72" × 72"
Skill level: Easy
Fat quarter friendly
No specialty rulers needed
What's included:
Instant-download PDF (7 pages)
Full cutting instructions with fat quarter diagrams
Step-by-step piecing for all five block types
Orange peel appliqué template
Fabric labels to cut out and clip to your piles
Layout diagram + Instagram community to steal ideas from (#untamedquilt)
You'll need: basic piecing skills and a little glue. That's literally it.
Fat quarters make this one stupid easy to shop for. Grab that bundle you've been hoarding and go.
Print at home or send to a copy shop. Confirm your 1" test square before cutting. 🌿
Some quilts are designed. This one was conjured.
Inspired by The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, a book so good I've re-read it three times. The quilt is a bold, scrappy star quilt that looks complex but isn’t.
What you're getting: a rinse-and-repeat star block with color-pop sashing so the whole quilt reads like a constellation. Nine-patch blocks add a bit of nostalgia and break up the pattern.
The specs:
Finished size: 96" × 96"
Skill level: Intermediate
No specialty rulers needed
Works with yardage or scraps
Requires 9 coordinating fabrics plus background, backing, and binding
What's included:
Instant-download PDF (8 pages)
Full cutting instructions with fabric diagrams
Step-by-step piecing instructions for all 25 unique blocks
Complete quilt assembly diagram
Fabric requirements in exact yardage
You'll need basic quilting skills: accurate ¼" seams, half-square triangles, and nine-patch units. If you've made a few quilts and you're ready to level up without losing your mind, this is your pattern.
Print at home or send to a copy shop.
This one's for the quilter who wants to make something that looks complicated without spending an entire weekend figuring out the instructions.
Dreamer is clean, modern, and scrappy in the best way. The block looks like it has a lot going on, but it doesn’t. That's the magic.
What you're getting: One super- simple block in a tumbling pattern across the whole quilt. It looks like an heirloom, but comes together on a Saturday afternoon.
The specs:
Skill level: Beginner
No specialty rulers needed
Fat quarter friendly
Comes in three sizes:
Crib: 48" × 48" — (16) blocks
Throw: 72" × 72" — (36) blocks

A quilt layout diagram so you know exactly where you're headed
Make it scrappy or use your favorite fat quarter bundle.

Don't worry, the pattern is still fun even if you don't read the book!
